HAIR LOSS SYMPTOMS
If
you are experiencing hair loss, baldness, or thinning hair symptoms, you are
not alone. Hair loss baldness or thinning hair cause are common concerns for both men and women. What
is male pattern baldness? Why a woman develops female pattern baldness symptoms?
What is normal hair loss?
Shedding up to 100 hair a day is considered normal. In a normal hair growth
cycle, as hair
fall out naturally, it is replaced by
a new hair from the same follicle located just beneath the skin surface
and new hair grows in. As we age, the hair re-growth process may slow or stop,
and thinning or baldness areas may occur.
Excessive hair loss can be seen in women post childbirth. Within two to
three months after delivery, excessive hair loss may be seen on brushes and
combs. This is normal in most cases and hair will grow back to the
original state after several months.
What are abnormal Hair loss symptoms?
There are many hair loss symptoms and conditions that are not part of normal
hair growth cycle. One that is most common but is not a health risk is male
pattern baldness.
In male pattern baldness, t he
hair loss generally is gradual. The hair usually thins out first in the
front of the scalp hairline and forehead and moves progressively to the back and top of the head. It
tends to be progressive, and in many eventually, only hair around the
ears, the sides, and back of the head remains, as an horseshoe-shaped pattern
that leaves the crown of the head exposed.
Women with pattern baldness rarely develop complete frontal bald area as men do.
Women
typically have gradual hair thinning throughout the scalp.
Women's hair loss is
experienced as a diffuse thinning of their hair.
Male pattern baldness or female pattern baldness are part of aging and
genetic traits of a person. It is very common condition and is not
considered an illness.
